As partner, Skuldtech is involved in several animal research programs.

The company is working with the French company Virbac and an IRD laboratory to develop a new vaccine against canine leishmania and a new tool for testing the effectiveness of vaccines lots.

Skuldtech is collaborating with the UE & OIE Community Reference Laboratory for bivalve mollusc diseases (Laboratoire Génétique et Pathologie - Ifremer, La Tremblade - France) in aim of developing a new detection tool against the oyster herpes virus (OsHV-1). This tool is currently being validated by other partners and will be available on the market at the beginning of 2009.

The company is also collaborating with the Ifremer Palavas Laboratory (France) to develop a new fish virus diagnosis kit.

Skuldtech is also working with veterinaries and farmers to develop a new diagnosis kit enabling early sex identification.


The company is also collaborating with:

  • IFREMER (Institut Français de Recherche pour l’Exploitation de la MER, France) in order to identify biomarkers for animal selection (disease resistance, quality features, etc.);
  • CIRAD (Centre de coopération Internationale en Recherche Agronomique pour le Développement, France) in order to identify Trypanosomia Bovis biomarkers and breed resistant animals;
  • LCH (Laboratoire des Courses Hippiques, France) in order to identify EPO drug abuse biomarkers in aim of preventing doping in the horse-racing industry.
